Big Changes | Volume 2

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. Phew, so many crazy changes recently! As mentioned in my last post over a year ago, LYDD closed in Raleigh, NC because my husband, Jason got a job in Duluth, MN.  It was a year of ups and downs & experiences we will never forget! And yes, it…was…COLD…like ridiculously cold.  But it was a good thing – a very good thing because it gave us HUGE life lessons on perspective.  The biggest thing MN & time at Cirrus Aircraft did for us was give Jason the confidence he needed to finish his Engineering degree.

So long story short, here we are back on the East Coast where we both grew up. But this time in the capitol of South Carolina – a state we have never lived in nor really visited much.  We wish we had discovered it sooner b/c we absolutely LOVE it here! Jason is enrolled at the University of South Carolina & we live downtown, right in the middle of it all. There are palmettos everywhere & it is usually sunny & gorgeous out :) The funny thing is we literally moved from one of the coldest places in the country to one of the hottest – as Columbia is known as the “famously hot” city due to its summers.  Talk about drastic changes!

Since Jason is in school, I am looking for a full-time job ASAP (crossing my fingers to work in Downtown)! Obviously LYDD didn’t re-open in MN: I kinda knew in the back of my mind after our 1st winter that adventure would be short-lived. My new plan is to re-open here in SC, but this time on the side & more as a hobby. I will focus on the art & products part of the business in my Etsy store.

Someone once told me “Life is a roller coaster. All you can do is hold on tight & enjoy the ride!”

Stay tuned for updates once we are more settled in our new home state!

♥ Rebecca
